Features of the Anti-Viral Front Lens Coating

• Air Purifying – it purifes and degrades VOC (volatile organic compounds), Formaldehyde, NOx and SOx gases in the surrounding air.
• De-odourising – it degrades organic compounds.
• It is self-cleaning – as it prevents dirt settling on the surface and also protects the surface from corrosion over its lifetime.
• It is anti-microbial and eliminates bacteria, virus and fungi.
• The material is FDA approved (Biocidal mechanism TTA)

How does it work?

The LED panel has a special TTA nano-composite coating applied to it which provides
24-hour anti-bacterial protection. This is achieved with a three-step process.

1. The active ingredients in the coating, Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and Silver (Ag) ions, react with sulphur (S) and hydrogen (H) in the bacteria to inhibit their reproduction.
2. A photo catalyst process generates super-oxide radicals which helps decompose bacteria.
3. The TTA coating has a surface charge which attracts bacteria and ruptures their cell membrane ultimately killing the bacteria.
